Women Empowerment Project (WEP), is a project aiming at improving democratic processes that better reflect women and young girls’ rights in Dodoma region. The project works to ensuring responsive, inclusive, participatory engagement of marginalized women and girls in every level and sphere of life including social and political.

The project focuses on: (1) Increasing Awareness to women and girls, men and boys to recognize GBV as a violation of women’s rights by raising awareness on policies and laws that protect women. (2) To facilitate Promotion and protection of human rights for women and girls by improving access to legal services. (3) Ensure equal participation of women and men in political life.

 The project expects to address a number of major obstacles towards women’s empowerment and protection and ensuring greater participation in social, economic and political affairs.
